Sergio first encountered this intricate braid on the handle of an old sword at a thousand year old Viking stone parliament in Reykjavik, Iceland. After seeing a Danish woman in a park braiding her daughter’s hair in the same fashion, he was inspired to create this design in honor of this ancient motif.
